Spoken English is a part of our everyday lives, whether at home, work, or in public places. We listen to individuals speaking on the radio, television, films, video games, and social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Although we may understand what they are saying at times, we may not understand at other times because of the distinctions between written and spoken language.

The written form of English differs significantly from its spoken counterpart. The primary distinction between written and spoken English is that writing is permanent while speech is temporary. When we write something down, it remains on paper permanently, unless destroyed by external factors such as fire or water damage. In contrast, when we speak something aloud, the words disappear as soon as we say them, unless recorded using a device such as a tape recorder or smartphone app like Siri or Google Assistant.

Tips to Pass the PTE Exam

To succeed in the PTE exam, it is crucial to prepare properly. As the test is required by many English-speaking countries, it’s important to take advantage of the available resources to increase your chances of passing. One of the key ways to prepare is to practice reading different texts and identifying the main ideas of each paragraph. Building your vocabulary and grammar knowledge is also crucial, as you’ll need to respond quickly during the speaking tasks. Using flashcards and PTE apps can be helpful for this.

It’s also important to schedule the exam as early as possible, and choose a convenient location and time. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early to avoid any last-minute stress. By properly preparing and taking the necessary steps, you can approach the PTE exam with confidence and increase your chances of success.

PTE Exam Preparation

To take the PTE exam, you must bring a valid passport for biometric scanning and photo identification. During the exam, you can store your belongings in a locker provided by the test center, allowing you to stay focused on the test. The test center also offers various amenities.

If you need to change your appointment date, you can do so up to 14 days before the test date and receive a full refund.
